Volvo Concept Coupe Could Be Heading to Production

When auto show season rolls around, we get pretty excited here at Carlsbad Volvo. In addition to see the latest offerings from our favorite automaker, it also gives us the chance to see unique and thrilling one-of-a-kind concept models from all over the world.

Sometimes we, and presumably other auto enthusiasts, get a little sentimental about these events because often the vehicles shown aren't intended on being put to production. This means that after the show, they're likely to be never seen in public again.

This brings us to the Volvo Concept Coupe that premiered at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model was the talk of the town essentially throughout the auto industry, impressing experts and fans alike with its style and 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor in the rear axle. The pros at Autoblog even pronounced it the top car at the show during their coverage of the event.

Thanks to such a warm welcome, we recently heard Volvo has plans to send this model to assembly lines. For now, we don't have many details, like specific dates or how many will be produced, but we're still excited at the possibility. We would love to see this futuristic looking coupe join the rest of the new Volvo lineup down the road.

Be sure to stay in touch with the Carlsbad Volvo blog for all the latest news regarding the automaker.
